Hello!
My passion for lighting design stems from when I was a young kid. Having been introduced to theatre early on, I immediately fell in love with it. The ways that lighting can sculpt the human body while simultaneously creating the atmosphere of another world have always intrigued me.
My educational background includes a M.F.A. in Theatrical Lighting Design from Indiana University and a B.A. in Theatrical Lighting Design and technology from the University of Northern Colorado.
Aside from theatre, I enjoy playing pinball machines and learning about their history. I even named my cat, Tommy, after The Who's Tommy musical and pinball machine. Traveling the world is one of my favorite past times, it is astounding what you learn when exploring other cultures and the outdoors. Born and raised in Colorado, the mountains have always been in my backyard, feeding my love for nature. I have even backpacked across Israel from the Sea of Galilee to the Mediterranean Sea! When I am not working or traveling, you can usually find me reading and partaking in arts and crafts.
